Photogenic science

Photo “More beautiful than in the aquarium” from Lukáš Vejřík of the Biology Centre got 2nd place in photographic competition Photogenic science in the category awarded by the Academy Council of Czech Academy of Sciences.

In the picture, Lukáš Vejřík captured the lagoon created by the springs in the area of ​​the national forest Ocala in Florida. Not only are these springs exceptional by their species communities, they are also absolutely breathtaking with its crystal clear water, which, due to the fact that it rises from the depths of the earth, has a year-round constant temperature of around 23 ° C.

All the winning photos will be on display at the Week of Science and Technology festival from 5 to 11 November 2018 at an exhibition in the Municipal Library of Prague.
