The SoWa IRMS & Organic Geochemistry lab welcomes intern Anna Mičanová. Anna has joined our group via the Open Science program of the Czech Academy of Sciences, which offers annual scientific internships for talented high school students (Otevřená Věda).
Her project will trace the flow of carbon through soil and aquatic ecosystems. While learning basic lab skills and techniques in organic geochemistry, Anna will help us quantify how much CO2 fixed via photosynthesis is transferred to molecules that accumulate in the environment.
