Areas of expertise: Ecophysiology and comparative physiology of soil invertebrates, mainly digestion, metabolic rate, digestive enzymes, feeding biology of cave invertebrates, cold adaptations of polar invertebrates, methanogenesis and microbial ecology of invertebrate digestive tract.
