Soil ecologist
Based on site-based research I try to find out the role of soil microbial community in the ecosystem scale processes. I use the knowledge and concepts of general microbiology and ecological stoichiometry to trace imprints of soil microbial community behavior in soil organic carbon mineralization, humification and nutrient cycling. At the same time, I try to quantify constraints possessed by physical and chemical properties of soil to microbial metabolism and growth.
